When we first stepped into the space that would soon become Apanemia Inn, it felt like stepping back in time. It was as if the years had forgotten it, untouched for over two decades. Our vision was to create something that felt like it had always been there—timeless and rooted in tradition—while allowing for new life to blossom surrounded by its stunning, stone-carved character.
At the heart of the design is the central arch, a striking feature that we preserved as both a focal point and a natural division within the space. Apart from a renovation, this felt like a deeply personal journey of respect and discovery for our team. Every step was taken with utmost fascination, honoring the original craftsmen who built this gem using only the simple, everyday wisdom of their time.
Today, we wonder whether those traditional stonemasons have imagined that this old storage space would one day transform into a welcoming agritourism inn? We believe that’s the magic of restoration—the rebirth and rejuvenation of our heritage, bringing the past into the present while giving it new purpose.
