Comarine Building is our proof that not everything needs to be new to feel fresh.
Originally conceived as a mixed-use structure, the skeleton carried the DNA of the city’s past. But Limassol is shifting. And we saw the opportunity not to erase that past, but to refine it for the way people live now.We took on both the architectural renovation and the full interior design of the building, converting it into a modern residential complex comprising 20 apartments. We paid attention to what the building already held, to what the city now asks for, and to how both could align sustainably. We retained the urban character of the original facade while introducing warmth and rhythm through vertical timber elements and softened material contrasts. The new design reads clean and minimal. Every balcony was reimagined as a transitional zone with full-height sliding doors that disappear entirely, letting each living room spill out into the city.
Inside, we restructured the layouts with livability in mind. Light and airflow cut clearly through each apartment. Circulation is intuitive. Materials are clean and textural. We introduced ample concealed storage: a thoughtful layer for the students and professionals increasingly calling this area home.
