Our main focus for the Lanitio Stadium Renovation was upgrading the sports facility and redefining its relationship with the urban park. Open, modern and functional were at the top of the list of priorities when it came to the design. Within that aim, we worked to make the space accessible and to cement the stadium as an everyday destination for the wider community.

The result is a facility that supports organized sport but is also welcoming to a wide range of people that might want to use the area in an informal way.

Architecturally, the space offers a contemporary take on clarity of form, with a slanted roof. The material is purposely durable and low maintenance, with deep brown timber cladding, while the rest of the structures are defined by more clean white surfaces that retain the natural connection to the landscape of the nearby park.

Key upgrades internally are the full modernization of the gym facilities as well as the addition of a café and kiosk structure that was designed as a transitional space.

The renovation has now transformed Lanitio Stadium in the heart of Limassol into a modern recreational facility that appeals to families, athletes and anybody that wants to partake in an outdoor setting with options to sit and relax in between.
